Materialised Destruction

Legal and Ethical

Ethical
Our game contains a high amount of graphic violence for this to be avoided to cause a legal stir we will be adding a high age rating on between 16 and 18. This will cause for a buy at own risk sort of thing so we can no longer be held accountable for stupid people who ignore age ratings, they are there for a reason.
Our game will be ridiculing different aspects of politics and the future state of the world as such we will need to be careful as to who we insult and what we say.
The game will contain strong language from the characters which may also include some stereotyping and racial slurs as a result of this the age rating will again need to be kept at around 16-18 and we will include warnings on the box and warnings before the game starts also the ability to disable it within the game.
Legal
The game will be using our own music, art and voices which should eliminate any copyright concerns along with this we will be making sure to not go into to many touchy subjects which may come across as offensive to a wider audience such as child slaughter, idealising terrorism, ect ect.

Survey Results

I sent this survey to over 30 people and only got 8 responses so the data in this is very minimal for what their is to analyse. From this however we can see that there are some clear trends.
Majority for each
Age Range
16-20
Favorite Genre
FPS-37.5% of votes

 Story or Action
Story-87.5%
Gameplay or graphics
Gameplay-100%!!!!
now for some of these I know people are lying e.g Dating sim getting  25% of the genre votes and MOBAs only getting 12.5%...seems a bit odd considering League of Legends and DOTA 2 are two of the most popular games in the world where as Long live the queen sort of just sits their like a wet lemon but i digress. The overall trends seem to be with the idea that we should make an FPS focused around Gameplay which has a competent story along with online being a major feature.

What Each of use did.

Mitch

Mitch did the video that was made from art drawn by myself and harry. Mitch was also useful when it came to the overall concept of the game in which he told us what he think worked for it, what he think was a bad idea and what he wanted to see from it. Mitch also kept the team going when we were struggling to keep concentration. Mitch was also the voice of the trailer.

Oli

Oli did most of the research for the game including looking at reviews of games that are similar to ours and allowed for us to look at what companies did well and where they fell short. Oli looked at some of the most famous reviewers including Re-Role, Angry Joe, Zero Punctuation and Total Biscuit, these are some of the most popular game reviewers on the internet receiving hundreds of thousands of views each. Through this he analysed it in completion and managed to be able to look at how games that have promised so much fell short.

Harry

Harry did the survey and looked at how audiences reacted to different genres and ideas for new games. This allowed for us to look specifically at what audience trends were and what was successful and what was less so. Harry also did some armour concept art and some art for the trailer. In the end he added some key ideas to the original concept and looked at what would be a cool idea until Mitch and Myself cruelly shut him down...Jimmy Nezbit was by far the worst drawing and idea I have seen.

Daniel

I cam up with the original concept idea and did most of the art for the trailer. I also made 3D models that would act as playable characters along with some concepts for level design. The story was written by me and I also wrote what Mitch said in the trailer. I compiled evidence on what other games market revenue was, looked at trends in the market and analysed what was successful. I took the role of team manager which may have been a mistake but we pulled through to some degree of success. I ended up being the one to talk through the budget of the game and what engine we would be using along with who we would need extra.
